Sonja Riddle

Hello! My name is Sonja Riddle, Co-Founder of CORE PE Curriculum. Welcome!

I taught elementary, middle school, and K-12 DAPE for 13 years before focusing exclusively on the system I began developing while teaching. The raw version of this system helped me to be the most efficient, organized, and confident teacher I had ever been – and revitalized my connection in teaching kids. Together, we were immersed, challenged, successful, and connected. YOU get the full CORE PE System and the benefit of years of work implementing, developing, and refining it. We can’t wait for you and your students to experience this. This is why we teach!

I had a chance meeting at the national PE convention several years back with my favorite professor, Dr. Sue Barnd. She is an unforgettable professional and human, and if you know her, you likely feel the same. It’s been 20 years since I was her student at UW – La Crosse. Now, I am honored to be working with her as curriculum partners affecting growth in PE and experiencing my own with her influence. Together, we transformed the system into a program to orient and root new users to get as familiar with it as we are. We have set it up with you in mind to be clear, practical, valuable, and to answer your needs in PE no matter what your teaching situation is. This is what you have been waiting for and what our students – and content area – need.

Way to go for being here!

Dr. Sue Barnd
